TCM Jet Wash Drives carried out a cleaning and re-sanding service for a block paved driveway in Wellingborough, Northants on August 14th, 2024. The driveway was heavily infested with weeds, algae, moss, and black and white spot lichen. To facilitate the cleaning process, we applied a lichen killer to the entire area the day before the scheduled cleaning, ensuring a more effective cleaning process the following morning.
Considering the water pressure is crucial when cleaning a block paved driveway, as it significantly facilitates a thorough cleaning process. Fortunately, the water pressure was strong enough for us to utilize our double turbo nozzle attachment on the pressure washer, effortlessly eliminating grime, weeds, lichen, moss, and algae, as well as clearing the old sand and mud from between the blocks. Although it was still quite a big job, it made it far more easier for us.
Once all areas of the block paved driveway were cleaned, we proceeded to rinse all surfaces and remove any splashes from doors, windows, plants, walls, etc. Afterwards, we treated the block paving joints with a weed killer. Once the surface was dry, we applied Bio Cleanze to the block paved driveway and all other cleaned areas. This potent water-based biodegradable soft wash DDAC Biocide not only provides lasting protection but also facilitates natural deep cleaning over time, ensuring sustained cleanliness for the blocks even after completion of our work. In short, it means this will keep cleaning months after we have gone!
On the following day, thanks to the hot weather, we could brush kiln-dried sand into the block joints to guarantee the block's stability and enhance the overall appearance of the driveway. The lovely lady who hired us said it looked like new and it would be a shame to walk on it!
